2025 Gonzo Cinsault Grenache

Old vine Grenache blended with young Cinsault from Wayne Ahrens on the sands of Vine Vale. Carbonic matrimony for 2 weeks. 
Pale and clear its cherry red hue is already softening. The nose is less playful/carbonic than usual and a little more classic red wine profile with light red berries, plum and lots of spice and earthiness. The palate is fresh and lithe with flavours of coastal saltbush red berries, tart raspberry and a little strawberry jam. Nice saline finish before bowing out with a final burst of spice. Absolutely zero tannins so a no brainer for
the fridge, probably all year around for the 2025 incarnation.
